IBS seminar in Syzran

Greetings to you all! Olga and I want to thank you all for your continued love, prayers, and financial support. Without you we could not be successful doing God's work in Russia.

In the month of February ICM (Russia) team went to Syzran to conduct Inductive Bible Study seminars at Syzran Christian Center, Pastor Dmitry Penkoff and Living Word Church, Pastor Armen Eganjian. About fifty church leaders including children ministers showed up to study the Word in spite of 12F below freezing weather. It was during the seminar that the Lord started speaking to the seminar participants leading them in the direction of studying the Word inductively on a daily basis. Some men came up to Alex and expressed their desire and passion to get back to the Bible and serve people in Syzran and in the area full time. With much prayer and counsel from the Word several of them felt the Lord directing and leading them into full time ministry. A couple of leaders received the confirmation from the Word of God that the Lord was leading them in this direction. The pastors of the host churches have been so gracious to open their homes up to us and introduce us to the church family here in Syzran.

On Sunday Alex did a service at Syzran Christian Center. It was a full day of ministry, prayer, and fellowship. After the fellowship, he was invited to lead a bible study the next day. What an honor and blessing to be able to come and bless God’s people with the Word again and again!

This week we are praying about going to Saratov, Russia in March. We have been asked to pray about coming to this town to conduct IBS program for the local church and a rehab center. Please pray for us in this decision. To go there, would mean we would have to raise more financial support in the month of March.

Our team is hosting our ICM Russia Pastors’ Forum the second week in September. Many indigenous missionaries will be traveling for days to attend this three day meeting. Please pray for their safe travel and for their provision even now. Immediately following the conference we will be visiting some of the orphanages and a street children shelter in Cherepovets with Pastor Lewis Smyth and his team. These are children that have been abandoned by their parents. They don’t have much but have great hope in Jesus. We have also been blessed with an invitation to come teach at several churches in the area.

We will keep you all up-dated and posted with our news as we travel. We love and miss you all dearly.

Thank you for reading, praying, and supporting us out of your means!
