Mom's illness

For a couple of years I have been watching and helping my mom fight that terrible cancer... we have been praying a lot believing Jesus for healing... the way she handles the sickness encourages many people who had known her for some time, she has set an example to all of us in the family, and yes, the illness changes us... it requires us to confront our mortality, illness requires us to confront lack of control of our lives, it requires for us to change the conditions in which we live, illness brings forth other issues to the forefront, including relationships, finances, and hope. Our spirituality is fully awake when we fight the sickness. SPIRITUALITY is that part of people that seeks meanings, connection, and love. Spirituality is the part of a person that yearns for hope in the midst of despair, for forgiveness in the midst of anger and hurt, and for a sense of connection and love in the midst of isolation. It seeks to answer the question of who we really are...

Your momma is so beautiful! You favor her, I think. I have just come across your blog for the first time, oi vey! We miss you guys so much. A lot has been happening here at CCP, which I won't waste time writing about here, but God is in control! Amen? I'll write you an email soon. Give Olga a big bear hug for me, and your momma too. Love in Christ, Heather & Bob

Igor, you look so much like your beautiful mom. I pray God's hand of healing and grace upon her, and that you will be His ministering angels to your dearest one. Love and hugs... kisses and prayers... Sheri...

Dearest Friends and Family, thank you so very much for your prayerful and financial support! At the moment mom is going through very difficult times in her life... on top of that, because of finacial meltdown that hit Russia lately, every patient has to buy drugs and meds at a drugstore, mom's meds are very expensive and she gets 4000 rubles which is $140 a month as a retirement. Please please pray for enough funds to buy meds this month. Thank you...
