Kirilov Mission Trip - Part 2

In Kirilov one of our team members from Severodvinsk was taken in a police car and asked a bunch of questions and a few police came to the meeting in civilian clothes and intentionally drunk to disturb the meeting. People were starting to get down because of the persecution, so the Lord gave me a Word from Phil. 1:12-20. The Lord was talking to us how to handle the persecution and see the glory of salvation in it! Next morning Nate did Acts 4, which lead him in a message about persecution and how we are to expect and handle it in a glorious way. We all continued to minister with a refreshed spirit! Three days we spent in Kirilov were fruitful. We held evangelistic meetings each and every night and around ten people accepted Christ each night. On Sunday six new people came to church, including two young girls about 10-12 years old, and one older man accepted Christ after the service. For that, we praise God! This is the first time in a long time we had to deal with this sort of thing, and it just showed us what to expect and what to prepare for in the future as we continue to spread the Word of God.

After this trip everyone is pumped and excited and are planning more events of the similar nature. I truly believe this is the beginning of a revival, small or big, little or great, it doesn’t matter, I am just convinced the Lord is moving in the hearts of many believers in this area. The team, and I are getting more excited about building and planting a new church here in Cherepovets and in a town called Anisimovo, and a lot of people want to get involved. We are so excited and ask that you would join us in prayer as we seek wisdom and guidance as we seek to spread the name of Jesus in this spiritually oppressed land.

At the cafe our youth played worship, followed by testimonies being shared by youngsters and the Word being shared by Igor and Yuri

Morning Bible study...

Our sisters love to serve, here they are helping an older lady do her laundry

We had a relaxing barbecue after all...

Sunday morning...the team waiting for people who got saved during the week

The lady on the right, Nina blessed my heart. She is an invalid that can't walk, but a devoted believer and Yuri brings to church every Sunday. I loved to see her worship!

This man on the right, Pavel came to church for the first time and accepted Jesus

On the way home we stopped by the woman's monastery

We came across some drunk people that lived there, and got to minister to them. Evangelism must go on! The lady on the far left prayed Jesus into her life, and we gave her a New Testament. I pray that she is able to leave her old life and live strong for Jesus.

Haifa Missions Trip

Dear family and friends,
The Inductive Bible Study Seminar in Haifa, Israel we did in June was a success. Alex and Luba Alexandroff teamed up with Olga and I to go on a missions’ field to bless the name of the Lord and the believers there. No matter how hard the enemy tried to hinder the work of the Lord in that city, ICM-Russia team was able to magnify the Word of the Lord!
The people who came to participate in the seminar were very surprised and blessed with what the Lord was able to do in our midst. The seminar was done at the Bethel Hostel, Haifa. One of the participants who stayed in Bethel and participated in the seminar was not a believer yet and it was an outreach that we know touched his heart as he heard about our wonderful God and savior Jesus Christ and learned how to study the Word verse by verse, chapter by chapter, and book by book.
It was so exciting to see God move in the participants, they did five assignments in writing, worked very hard to learn how to study the Word of God using simple outline and charting. Needless to say the word about the seminar went out and recently we got an invitation from one of the pastors from Nazareth to come bless the congregation there. Please pray the Lord gives us enough resourses to take this trip in the nearest future.

I trust the Lord to provide for our needs. I would ask that you pray for Olga and me that the Lord would give the wisdom, discernment, direction, and clarity of heart and mind to make the right decisions on how we should continue our missionary journey. And if you feel the Lord leading you to help us in ministry in any way, or if there is someone you know who would, or if your church or a church that you know is looking to support a missionary, please pray and consider what the Lord would have you do. If you feel so led please respond to this by sending your gift to ICM, PO Box 109 Mentone, CA 92359. And thank you all who have believed in us and sent your love gifts to Igor and Olga this month.

Update on mom's illness...

Dear Friends,
I hope that this letter finds you doing well walking in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am writing this letter because, as you may know, my mom has been struggling with esophagus cancer for some time now. She has been going through radiation therapy, and now might have to do chemotherapy. And I do not know how many of you are familiar with the medical system here in Russia, but you would be amazed at how difficult it has been on mom and dad. My parents have had to travel to and from St. Petersburg many times, to do tests, wait, mom has had stay in the hospital for several months, and it so hard on them. The Russian medical system promises free health care for only the most basic of needs, but patience must pay for effective medicines and operations. They are not able to pay for all the traveling, tests, medicines, treatments, and stays in the hospital on their meager pensions, and they have only been able to get this far with help from Olga and I. Some Russian churches responded with small love gifts recently, my missionary friend Nate is now renting a space in my parent’s apartment for a little money but still it is not enough... we anticipate the family’s medical expenses to be well beyond these available means. Since medical treatment in Russia is largely dependent upon the ability to pay in advance, the Prokopyevs will require immediate assistance for their hospital expenses. I would ask that those of you who know mom and have been touched by her service and hospitality through the years would be willing to help my parents financially in this time of trial. You may send donations to the Prokopyevs/Medical needs, ICM, PO Box 109, Mentone, CA 92359. Thank you so very much!
